FreeMind

For some time now, I`ve been using a mind mapping tool called FreeMind.

freemind

I’ts a very nice tool when you are getting an overflow of information to handle; For example when you are analyzing an organization, trying to get an overview over all the systems at your work, writing a book or anytime you feel it’s nice to organize information.

I use Freemind allot at my work and at home, and since I’m quite found of it I wanted to share it with you.

It’s Open Source and free, and you can get it for Windows, Linux and Mac.

Status quo

In May this year I started in a new job, where I work for “Statens Lånekasse for Utdanning”(Lånekassen). It’s a government agency that provides loans and grants in Norway; My work is in system development. I’m very proud about working for this agency, because without It’s existence I would probably not had any education at all. Lånekassen together with the educational system, is viewed upon as an investment for Norway’s future.

I also moved to a new location within the city of Trondheim. It’s about twice the size of my last place, and It’s closer to the city and my job. The rent is only a third more of my last, however this is reflected through the age of the building, around hundred years, it is quite noticeable.

At last I want to welcome the summer, and hopefully more good weather!

Easter

This easter I spent some time with my younger brother. He lives in the Lofoten archipelago in northern Norway, my birthplace.  It was good to see my hometown(Hennigsvær) as it has been one year since the last time i was there. I was quite lucky as well, the weather in this region of Norway is somewhat unstable, however it was good most of the time.
